Chief Executive Officer & Chairman

Bill Hoey has over 25 years of information technology and operational leadership experience. Serving as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Quality Attributes Software, Bill is also the founder of NJ Solar Power LLC, a leading Solar Electric Design/Build firm based in Bayville, New Jersey. He has excelled in the Energy and Green technologies market since 2003. Prior to founding NJ Solar, Bill spent over 20 years as an Information Technology professional advancing into several leadership roles in managing system and application development teams. During his career in information technologies, he developed Trading & Clearing Systems for SG Warburg, Rockefeller Holdings; managed the Billing Systems development teams at Corning Clinical Laboratories; succeeded as the Vice President of Development and Operations of Micro warehouse; and cofounded KeyFA Inc, an application development and systems integration provider. Bill holds a BS in Computer Science and Business Administration from North Adams State College and a MBA in Information Systems from Pace University.

Vice President of Energy Mangement

John Butterly has over 30 years of professional experience in the energy field.  With a career spanning three decades, there are not many aspects of the energy business that John has not been involved with.  His extensive background includes energy management, procurement and consulting in the commercial, industrial and utility sectors.  John’s supplies Quality Attributes Software (QAS) with energy domain expertise and is highly influential in the areas of customer and sales support as well as product design.  John is a licensed professional engineer as well as an A.E.E. certified energy manager and energy auditor.  Prior to joining QAS, John was a senior energy consultant with a major northeast energy services firm.  Earlier in his career, John managed the energy program at all North American locations for a major global technology company.  His responsibilities included formulating energy policy, maximizing efficiency and optimizing demand and supply for a commercial and industrial facility portfolio in excess of 33 million square feet.  John’s responsibilities also encompassed implementing the USGBC Green Buildings program utilizing LEED® methodology and monitoring green house gas and carbon emissions.  In the industrial sector, John managed electricity and natural gas supplies for a global industrial gas company with major facilities located in 28 states.  John’s career started with a major northeast electric and gas utility.  He eventually spent seventeen years there in various management roles in areas including transmission, distribution, generation, system operations and system planning.
